Freebie Friday :: Spring Giveaway!
It's Spring and at Tasteful Tatters we're launching our new Shoe Clips this week! And because the weather has been rainy all week - I thought we need a little giveaway to brighten the day =)
At the end of winter I asked our Facebook Fans what they would like to see this spring for as far as new items and trends. Along with a ton of really good suggestions, shoe clips were at the top of the list! So you asked for it - and here is a chance to win a free set of the Cream Puff Clips pictured above!

Your Are What You Eat
You've all heard this phrase before with a more than welcome negative connotation, I'm sure. Sometimes mid-way through a McDonald's McChicken sandwich I think about this phrase along with other things such as documentaries like Food Inc. or Supersize Me.Sometimes I think if this phrase were true - I would be a giant donut haha or just a large iced coffee hehe. So that is why when I stumbled across the amazing Le Blog de Betty I almost laughed out loud!
This fashionista has some great style and I loved looking through her shopping guides. But this post was just amazing. I mean, not all of us can pull of the giant donut sweater... although I'm definitely going to try =)

The Princess & The Pea
I have been blessed beyond belief to have the opportunity to be apart of so many styled shoots lately. I have so much fun at the "set" meeting all the models, vendors, etc and just doing my thing. Seriously. It's my happy place. This last shoot I was apart of was the creative genius of Becca Rillo. She came up with the concept and sort of just let me go with it. Which, by the way, is like music to my ears =) So all the the pieces you see here with the exception of the mattresses are part of my Tasteful Treasures Collection of rentals that you can rent for your wedding and/or photo shoot. You can learn more on my website. So here are a few snaps from the big shoot! I hope you find them inspiring <3

Do You Pinterest??
Where do you get your inspiration from? Is a question I get asked often. And in turn, I probably ask that of other creatives a lot too. Lately I've been finding some awesome inspiration as well as resources on Pinterest. Have you heard of it?? Well, if not - jump on board soon! You may have seen this name busy around the blogosphere and it is definitely catching on everywhere.
Basically you create boards - boards are the full collection of of type of thing. For example, I have 6 boards: Wedding, DIY, For Home, My Style, Photography, and Tasteful Tatters. Then when you are browsing the web and you find something worth saving/sharing you click the "Pin It" Icon on your toolbar (that you've obviously already downloaded after creating an account hehe) You can also follow others' boards, like their pins and so on - it is seriously so fun.
If you DO have an account... "follow" my boards and we can be friends!

This one is for you bloggers! Utterly Engaged has come up with a great way to raise awareness and acknowledge the devastation going on in Japan. All you have to do is the following:
2. Please post a blog post about what you will be doing this Friday whenever possible in hopes to spread the word and whoever else would like to join in.
3. Tweet and Re-Tweet the link to http://www.forjapanwithlove.com please.
4. Encourage your readers to contribute to donate shelter to Japan.
So I will not be having my Freebie Friday post so I can participate in this and I encourage all you bloggers to do the same!!

Playlist : Silverspring
I love this Stevie Nicks song to begin with, but when I stumbled across Eisley band member Stacy Dupree covering it along with Darren King and Jeremy Larson I got chills. It has been on repeat all week. Also, Eisley just came out with another album - you should definitely check it out - awesome music. So... not much a playlist - more of just an all around epic tune. And the videography... oh the videography - just love. Enjoy!

Something Blue : Wedding Invitations
So I'm about 3 months out of the whole wedding planning process and I'm feeling pretty good... eh kinda good. The one thing lurking over my head is the invitations. If you are like me and you LOVE paper products this is a hard decision for me to make. I love so many different types of invitations - how do you choose?? I feel like every other day I'm changing my mind haha. And let's be real - with all the wedding blogs out there showcasing the best of the best : letterpress, diy, etc - there are practically a million different ways to do your invites! Ultimately I have to reconcile that of all my wedding details this is just in fact paper, and in most cases will be thrown away by my guests. So that plays a role in how much I'm willing to spend on them (and how much time I can spend making/assembling). So, if you are in the same situation as me - or about to - I hope this doesn't make you feel alone in the whole process and you enjoy this little collection of my favs (for this week anyways!) * And as always, click the image to enlarge the prettiness :o)

Photography: Vol.25/Digital Eye Candy
It's Monday - and I'm trying not to have a "case of the Mondays" because my weekend was so fabulous =) But alas, here we are Monday morning with waking up to a very dark morning... and I guess I'm not supposed to buy gas today haha
Today I am bringing you something that I have hearted for quite some time now. I'm not quite sure how I stumbled upon the blog Vol. 25, but boy am I sure glad I did! The creator, Jessica, is seriously the cutest thing and she creates these AMAZING photoshop overlays that are quite literally eye-candy for your photos. They are soft and subtle yet charming and just put a smile on your face. I purchased a couple sets and have so much fun experimenting with them. They are super affordable too! Here's one of my photos that has a little eye candy - do you see it??
With that, the amazing Jessica has done it again with her new website :: Digital Eye Candy! I seriously feel like I'm in a candy store haha I mean, c'mon how cute is her home page!? She also has cards/invitation templates that are too cute! Perfect for baby announcements =) So this week - you should peruse her shop and I'm telling you - it will provide lots of creative inspiration!
>> If you've used Jessica's overlays for photos already - leave a comment with a link - we'd love to see your work!
