So I'm officially half way through my wedding planning process and there are a few things that - looking back - I would love to do over and over again haha. One of those things is how to ask my gals to be my bridesmaids. Some of you may remember my first post on how I did this here. Now that my creative juices are flowing I keep thinking of more and more cute ways to ask! {Sigh} If only I could get married like 5 times =)
So today, I am so very honored to have my DIY project is being featured on the fabulous Hey Gorg blog - so check it out and leave some love!

Tasteful : Bridal Pieces
Happy Hump Day! haha, I always found that phrase entirely too funny =)
Here is a couple shots of my 2 new bridal pieces for Tasteful Tatters. The first is soft, romantic, with a bit of the dramatic. I absolutely love it on the red hair as well - too.much.fun. And the 2nd piece is a more woodsy look for the DIY bride looking for a total outdoorsy wedding.
I've been experimenting a lot with wedding pieces for my big day coming up here and I just can't decide what I want! What did you wear in your hair for your wedding??

Engaged: Courtney & Jon
Today is my birthday!! Normally, I'd be a bit more excited - but something about getting older this year is stressing me out a little haha. But I plan on having a very relaxing and craft filled day =)
Here is a little preview of one of my favs from my good friends Courtney & Jon. They are getting married this year and not only do I have the honor of doing some coordinating and styling for their big day - but they asked me to shoot a few snaps for their engagement photos. Seriously how stunning are they?! You may remember these fabulous faces from a little love shoot we did awhile ago here. Congratulations again Courtney and Jon - you guys are such stunning people inside and out and I am so happy for you!!

Hearted: Color Collective
This week has been crazy. We had our first styled shoot for Tasteful Treasures. I got sick. Planned a Valentines Dinner AND COOKED for Mr. A. Got sick again. Whew!
To avoid getting down in the dumps by the piles of work I have ahead of me, I decided to fill my mind with beautiful colors and inspiration of happy thoughts =) I just might listen to some Ray Lamontagne and have a bubble bath as well! Anyways, my recent source of inspiration has been the fabulous blog Color Collective which is the creative genius by Lauren Willhite. This gal has some seriously great taste! Here are just some snapshots of my favorite color palettes today! Happy inspiring!

Hearted: 31Bits Valentines Party
Happy Valentines Day!! Last week I had the opportunity to throw a 31Bits House Party and I put a little Valentines spin on it. Cuz lets face it - sometimes V-day isn't that fun for everyone and sometimes you just need a girls night. Am I right?? So here are some photos taken by the lovely EK Photography (whom I adore and so happy she could come!) Oh, and most of my decor was from the Dollar Store - yup that's right =)
All the girls loved checking out the 31Bits pieces and we even sold quite a few! I love what those girls are doing over there and was so thrilled to be able to support the amazing cause. Women in Uganda make all the pieces out of paper and they are gorgeous! Check out their site for more info and where to purchase your own Bits!
We also did a little crafty craft (of course!) of the DIY Valentines Cards that I posted a little while ago here. They were such a hit and most of the girls walked away w/ lots of little love notes =)

Hearted : Birthday Wishlist
Happy Wednesday Bloggers! I have SUCH a busy week this week with planning the final touches for the Tasteful Tatters Launch Party, filling some orders, styling a shoot this weekend, oh and making sure I remember to eat lunch!
So my birthday is coming up and instead of having a party where all my friends from the different parts of my life will be forced to hang around eat some food, have a drink, and maybe feel awkward because they don't know some of the other groups there... plus I don't want a party! This year I decided I really wanted to see my new friend crush and amazing musician Jayme Dee perform with Tyrone Wells and Tyler Hilton at the House of Blues Anaheim (My old stomping ground!) That way everyone can come, bring whoever they want, have a great night, I can see friends from all the different parts of my life - even my mom is coming!
With that said :: these are the lovelies that I wish to purchase and birthday presents haha cuz lets face it - I'm too old to get presents anymore!
Left: Bubbo-Tubbo Organizer:: This little beauty is my current obsession. I love all things paper, organization, stickers, office supply, etc. I was one of those kids who LOVED going back to school shopping. Anyways, I stumbled across this fabulous Etsy Shop and immediately fell in love. This lovely lady will even do a custom title to your binder in this amazing calligraphy. Ugh! My nerdy heart skipped a beat when I saw it! She also provides ALL of these PDF's for you to fill your fabulous book: (ALL of this for only $35!! Ok. I'm sold.)

DIY : Fashion Foward Paper Boxes
Today's DIY is actually brought to you by the new Tasteful Tatters Assistant, Rebecca Rand!
Over at Tasteful we were trying to come up with some creative packaging ideas for our new spring product. Some bright and colorful that just screams fashion and spring - Rebecca came up with this awesome project of making little boxes out of fun magazine pages. So if you ordered anything in the last couple of weeks you just may see this box arrive in the mail filled with some Tatters =) I just LOVE how they turned out! She also mod podged them to make the pages a little more sturdy and with a glossy finish. I think they turned out so fun! The cool thing is, you can make this boxes out of anything : cardstock, greeting cards, oragami paper - you name it! Click HERE for step by step instructions to make your own paper boxes!
