Vintage Inspired Engagement Shoot
I love engagement shoots! I especially love when couples throw in their own personality to their shoot. Warren + Leslie used some of my vintage rentals to showcase their love of vintage and travel with fun suitcases & vintage globes in an open field/forest location - and huge shoutout to Becca Rillo Photography for capturing this adorable couple so beautifully! Thanks for sharing these images Becca! Now aren't these two the cutest?!

1 Piece : 2 Looks
I get asked this question a lot: "I love your vintage pieces... but I'm not sure how to make them fit with my wedding look" Some brides will see my pieces from a shoot or other wedding I've done, and while they think it may look cool or interesting, the blue and black color palette does NOT fit with their backyard rose garden affair. I think this is because if they see it done one way, it's hard to see it fit somewhere else; visually. While others, take a look at my inventory pages and see furniture against a white backdrop by itself, and struggle seeing how to use it period. So, today I thought I'd show you one of my favorite pieces I rent out, and how it looks just by itself, and how me and my fabulous team have turned a simple wooden table into 2 completely different looks that I think will knock your socks off!
So you want to throw a bridal shower - but one that screams of vintage and feminine touches - why not add some vintage furniture to spice up your delicious dessert table? With the soft pink and purple flowers, vintage lace runner, and pretty milk glass and vintage cake stands - you would think you just walked into The Secret Garden!
Pink is not really your thing? You want to create a bold and bright head table for you & your hubby along with your maid of honor & best man, that looks sophisticated, bright, with a vintage flare. Add pops of blues and whites in your florals, some modern china, and we handmade this runner to match perfectly with a touch of black lace! And your look is completely different!
What do you think? Looks totally different, right? If you are interested in seeing how our vintage rentals can work for your big day, feel free to contact me and/or head on over to our Facebook page to see our latest pieces!

Lights, Camera, Action!
What some might not realize, is along with my rentals, I do a lot of styling as well! I love when I get to style shoots, I seriously feel like I'm in my element. My dear friend Kathy of The Vintage Table, Co. joke with each other because we both do vintage rentals & we both style and we get these awesome photos of our pieces, but no photos of us actually doing our styling - us in action. We always talk about how we should have something like that... and last weekend we took the liberty of photographing each other with our phones! So professional, I know. But I we had so much fun doing it, we might need to make it a tradition =) So here are some fun shots of me "in action" styling my pieces from a recent Bridal Shower shoot - enjoy!

Tasteful Wedding: Courtney & Jon
You may remember this bride from a Sneak Peak I posted a long while back, and I am so very excited to be able to finally share the full wedding with you guys! Not only did Courtney come to me for her custom veil and garter, she also chose to use our rentals and styling services for her wedding. I had so much fun styling this crazy creative girl's wedding! From all the lunch meetings to skype sessions where we dreamed up wild and crazy ideas - such a fun time! For Courtney & Jon's wedding we went with a rustic look but with a modern art twist. The venue was at Orcutt Ranch, CA - so that provided a very rustic backdrop and we created pops of purple, navy, and white in creative and modern elements. Look how pretty it all turned out!

This is What I Love
I love my job. Both of them. On one hand I get to bring awesome vintage finds to weddings/ events and set up this whole scene that will hopefully take your breath away. I also get to make fun necklaces, headbands, veils, & garters. I love getting to work with my hands. The best part of what I do is seeing the end result. For weddings, I don't always get that, because I have to leave before the guests come haha, but for shoots I always get that. Since some just see my inventory, and some just show up at a wedding we styled, I thought it would be fun to show you a little before after situation! Just a disclaimer: this particular shoot was styled by Miriam Corona Events. She did such an amazing job! And yesterday this particular shoot was featured on Green Wedding Shoes! Be sure to check out Jen's full post for more amazing details. And don't miss our cute red bow tie we made for the shoot =)
So here is our vintage white dresser: a huge favorite for dessert bars or guest favors at weddings this year. Isn't she fabulous?! Yes, she is a she =)
And through in some creativity, pops of color, flowers, food, you name it. We've done it all! And you can get something as awesome as this! Hope this provides some inspiration for you brides who are planning your wedding in 2012. You can check out all our inventory HERE and we can get the ideas rollin'! Also, special shoutout to Lukas VanDyke Photography for not only photographing all my inventory, but this awesome Candyland shoot!

Tasteful Press Kits
Most of the time, I talk about how I loved to social aspect of college and hate how expensive my "social education" was.... I'm not bitter, I swear. Other times, like more recently, I'm incredibly grateful for the degree I have in Public Relations as it relates to owning my own business. I recently decided to completely change the way I market my business... and to whom I market to for that matter. When I say marketing, I'm not talking "logos" or artwork... I'm talking real marketing plans. With that said, I narrowed down my target market and my goals and objectives for the plan. I knew immediately I wanted to send a Press Kit to my "targets" (that's what we'll call them for now =) I started to kinda panic... ah I haven't done these in so long! But after bouncing some initial ideas off of friends, I am so unbelievably proud of the new Tasteful Tatters Press Kits. I want to give them as Christmas presents! haha Anyways, I thought I would share just a little pick at what they look like, and who knows... maybe you'll be getting one in the mail this week!
There you have it! Pretty, yes? have a wonderful rainy Wednesday friends!

A Taste of Autumn
Happy Monday bloggers! Just had to share with you a little taste of a beautiful autumn shoot I was apart of this past weekend with my rentals and hair pieces. The location was stunning, there were tons of real pies, and... wait for it... there was a giant horse. Crazy, I know. So here is a little prettiness to get your week going, while I wish it wasn't 90 degrees outside and actually felt like autumn =)

Here are just a few of my favs from the shoot!
