As I'm writing this, it is about 102 degrees outside - and I wish I was exaggerating! So you can imagine how weird it would be to be thinking about the winter... I turned on some N*Sync Christmas to help me get in the mood =) Anyways, I'm just so so so excited for my new collection from Tasteful Tatters, but I can't quite show you all yet - so sad, I know. Instead, I thought I would share with you where I got my inspiration for the new goods - that way you can get a little preview or idea of what it all is going to look like. Sound good? Great! Alsoooo. what is on YOUR wish-list for fall/winter accessories and/or fashion - I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Enjoy and I hope you feel inspired!
And of course - I am completely inspired by this inspiration board made by Elizabeth Ann Designs - to die for!! I am loving the Pink, Peach, Gold combo right now and I cannot wait to see my new products come to life.

Road Trip: Half Birthdays Make Me Happy
So I don't know about you, but I celebrate my half-birthdays. Call me crazy, but it's fun. I don't mean the whole send out invites, have a cake with candle, and people bring you presents. I mean, just on that day set aside time to do something you "never have time to do," or take the day for yourself and just relax, or plan a fun outing with friends. Nothing big, just do something fun. If you don't do this, I think you should try it, at least once. And I'll be willing to bet - not only will you have a great day... but you're year might be just a little bit happier =)
So yesterday was my half-birthday (Saturday) and I especially LOVE my half birthday because it's in August, and if you're quick you've already guessed that my real birthday is in February. Which is cold and always rains on my the 21st. So August is so fun for me because it is warm, sunny, and summer! So this year my dear friend Kimi came out and we celebrated by making an apron (something I have wanted for awhile now if you know me haha) I really really wanted this apron from Anthropologie as as with many things from there I decided to just make it myself. Now, I have never sewn anything like this before so MUCH of the credit goes to Kimi (who by the way is opening up an Etsy shop soon, so you'll have to watch out for that soon) I basically drank wine, ate chocolate, and handed her a pin when she asked for it haha. Anyways, here is my documentation of our experiment
Our sketch haha

DIY: Paper Flowers
Happy Monday friends! Today, I have a super fun DIY project that ANYBODY can do. I always hate it when I see an awesome DIY post and I try to do it and it requires all these special tools and takes hours and hours... not my style haha. This will literally take you minutes and you probably have everything sitting at your desk at this very moment! These paper flowers can be used for bouquets, some garnish for a table, centerpieces, and the list goes on!

Road Trip: Pismo Family Vacation
"In the summa time when the weather is right..." Yay for summer! Every year my family - as in my whole family: aunts, uncles, cousins, etc stay in the awesome beach resort in Pismo Beach, CA. This year I could only stay for the weekend - but we had SUCH a blast. The beach was so beautiful and the weather was amazing. I had so much fun hanging out with my little siblings - they were such cute little surfers =) I hope you all are having a wonderful summer!
